Easter

We had a joyful and amazing Easter.  The kids enjoyed waking up to a few goodies in their baskets and than we headed off to church, and enjoyed our usual Sunday brunch with George and Yvonne.

Than it was home for naps and preparing to host.  We hosted but it was potluck style so we didn't have to do too much cooking.  We also had an Easter Egg hunt for the kiddos.

Easter Egg Hunting, Good Friday, Dyeing Easter Eggs

We had such a great time leading up to Easter.  The kids and I did quite a few lessons around Jesus and what Easter means to us.

We had our second annual Good Friday mom's group.  The kids get to learn about a few key stories leading up to Jesus's death and resurrection.  They waved palm branches, washed eachother's feet (always a favorite) and dined on some bread and juice.  This is such a special time for us as we prepare for the busy weekend ahead.

We love going to the Easter Egg hunt in Larkspur.  It's so nice to have an activity local since for the most part we have to travel to take part in anything exciting.  It's a great hunt with an even more amazing view and only a short drive down the road.  The kids were all excited to see the Easter bunny and collect some goodies.

We also had the chance to dye a few eggs.  Tyler becomes super competitive when it comes to dyeing eggs or frosting cookies so he usually tries to out-shine the kids (hard ya know since they are all under 4).  Ha, apparently he got that from his mom because Yvonne dyed eggs with us and her and Tyler were competing the entire time.  All Rilyn and Ryder cared about were their eggs being their favorite colors....Rilyn - red and Ryder - blue.

Why color them?  They taste just the same.
