Happy Halloween!

We are excited to celebrate Halloween today!  I remember last year I was so sad when I couldn't be with Rilyn all day to do fun Halloween activities.  So, we have a full day planned starting with our cream cheese ghost toast and a trip planned to Tyler's work to do some trick-or-treating around the office!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins

I pretty much love everything about fall.  I love the changing leaves, the cooler weather, sweaters, hats, pumpkin patches, Halloween...I could go on and on.  Fall is even better with kids because I get to dress them in sweaters and make them pose by pumpkins!

Last night we had our pumpkin carving party, which included "pigs" in a blanket, french fries, and Tyler carving the best jack-o-lantern face ever

Excited for some Halloween fun tomorrow with the kids!  Yea for Fall!

Happenings....

We have had a lot going on this past week, which means I haven't had time to blog.

On Monday, I returned from Montana with the kiddos.  Our trip was great and we got spend a lot of time cuddling with Grandma and Papa, hanging with the Nelsons, and having some good Montana fun.

We spent the rest of the week preparing for Jason and Stacey's wedding, and then unexpectedly Rilyn woke up sick on Thursday.  She started throwing up, had wonderful diarrhea, and developed a temperature later in the day.  I was so sad that she was getting sick a day before the wedding!  Tyler went to the rehearsal but the kids and I stayed home.  We did get to enjoy some snow.  I'll never tire of this view from our front door.

She woke up Friday morning and seemed great; although, she did still have a temp.  We had to wake her up from her nap to get to the wedding on time and that proved to be disastrous.  She was in a horrible mood most of the evening (who can blame her) and when we got home she threw-up the only thing she ate that night (M&Ms).  The throwing up and diarrhea started again and has lasted throughout the day.  She hasn't had a fever and has slept most of the afternoon.

So here we are hanging out at home hoping she recovers soon.  She hasn't kept any food down since Wednesday, but is drinking fluids well.  Oh and my dryer is not working right now so we have clothes, blankets, sheets hanging all over the house to dry.  Of course the only time in my life I've been without a dryer!

The wedding itself was beautiful and Jason and Stacey seemed so happy and in love.  The weather was prefect with a coating of snow on everything, but some sun shine and everything seemed to run smoothly.  We are so happy for the two of them and are excited to welcome Jason into the family.  We are missing Ryan and Carly though as Ryan is yet again in the hospital recovering from another surgery.

It's been an eventful week and I am ready for a little down time that does not include sitting with my girl and a puke bucket!

Horses, Buggies, Papa, Oh my!

Rilyn, Ryder, and I took off for Montana early Monday morning.  The kids did amazing on the road trip.  Rilyn actually seemed to have fun on the road trip and was in a great mood the whole way.  Ryder only made me stop once to feed him so we made pretty good time.

We stopped at my grandparent's house and stayed the night.  We got to hang out with our cousins, ride in the buggy, and feed the animals. Thanks for all the fun Grandma and Grandpa Herman!

We stopped at my other grandma's house on our way to Billings to have dinner so they could meet Ryder.  Thanks for dinner Grandma!

We got to Billings late Tuesday and Rilyn has been having lots of fun with her papa and cousins since then.  Ryder is loving all the attention, and I am enjoying lots of help with the kids.

We love being in Montana but really miss Tyler while we are here!
