2012 with the Deckers

2012 was an amazing year here at the Deckers and it seems like every month we were blessed and had much to celebrate.

January - Rilyn turned 1

February - Rilyn had her first swim lessons and we enjoyed some snow days together

March - We celebrated my half way point of being pregnant with Ryder and we enjoyed some warmer weather.

April - Celebrated Easter in Colorado and Montana

May -MaKenna got a good report on her scans and I turned 31

June - Celebrated our 3 wedding anniversary, celebrated my mom turning 50, I became more and more pregnant and we tried to survive the heat

July - waited the arrival of our baby, found our dream home, visited Ryan in the hospital

August - Welcomed Ryder Caleb and moved

September - Learned to juggle 2 kids and officially became a stay at home mom

October 2012 - A Wedding, Halloween, and a trip to Montana

November - Thanksgiving, Bon fires, and sibling love

December  - We finally made it to Montana for Christmas and celebrated the Broncos taking the number one seed

It's been a great year!  We look forward to a less eventful 2013, lots of family time, watching our babies grow, and making many more memories.

Happy New Year!

Brody

On November 23rd, Diana, Marcos, and Joaquin welcomed the newest member to their family!

Brody came into this world weighing 10lbs 4 ounces!

We got to meet him this week and it was so great to spend some time with Diana and Joaquin.  Joaquin and Rilyn definitely missed eachother!

Here are some pics of the newest addition:

I have to laugh at this picture because Rilyn was told to take her thumb out of her mouth for pictures and so she had to hold it down to keep it from going back in.

The Kitchen Redo

Today we finished the kitchen redo that we've been working on....and nope I don't mean our kitchen, I'm talking about Rilyn's play kitchen...her Christmas present that has been a work in progress for about 3 months now.

I kept seeing these really cute kitchens that people have made out of random furniture like end tables and entertainment centers.  I realized that I was definitely not that talented nor did I have the time to actually complete one of those projects so I went on the search for a used kitchen that I could just buy.

And then I found the used kitchen, but boy did it need some work.

Rilyn and I spent some time cleaning it, which she really enjoyed, and then I hid it from her so she wouldn't see it again until Christmas.

So, it's been painted, fabric has been mod podged to the back, new burners, a new faucet, and some knobs later - we have a kitchen....

I don't love the faucet, it's much bigger than I thought it would be.  I also have some little details I still want to add eventually like maybe a chalkboard on the side like this:

Either way, I'm happy it's done and excited to give it to Rilyn.
