Halloween

How much fun to celebrate Rilyn's first Halloween!

I love Halloween anyways because the kids at school are so excited and there are a lot of fun things to do with pumpkins, candy, fall, etc...today at school we decorated cookies and the kids LOVED it!  Of course, it was a challenge trying to explain to them that they couldn't eat the cookie until they decorated it and only about half of the cookies actually got decorated but nonetheless it was fun.  My students have always been the most excited about cookies and often it is one of the few words they can say...too much fun!

Anyways.....

I love Halloween!  A bottle of wine, some pizza ( I was too lazy to make my pumpkin risotto), and really cute kids!  Rilyn had a lion costume but she did not love having it on.  However, when I was having her look in the mirror with it on she laughed and then I showed her how to roar and she imitated me :)  She is imitating so much right now and can say, "mama, dada, hi, and Zoe Zoe"

She liked looking at the other kids in their costumes, but did not like giving our candy away and really I can't blame her!

Holidays are going to be so much fun!

Family Fun

This last weekend we got to spend a lot of fun times with the Decker clan.  Rilyn is so lucky to have so many people love her and we are so blessed to have family members close by to not only love on her but also help us out with advice, taking care of her, and always telling Tyler and I what a great job we are doing.

On Saturday we went to Carly and Ryan's new house.  It is amazing and they have put so much time and care into creating a place they can call home.  They just carved some pumpkins so Rilyn got to watch them light them for the first time...she also had a massive blow out diaper in which Carly had to actually help me shower her to clean her off (she has caught my stomach bug). Nothing like breaking in the brand new wood floors....

On Sunday morning Tyler carved pumpkins for us!  We couldn't believe that we hadn't carved our pumpkins yet and we were sort of rushed so we did it while Rilyn ate breakfast.  I love that my husband creates the funniest pumpkin faces ever and uses a pocket knife to carve pumpkins so he doesn't "ruin" his "good" knives.

On Sunday night we met the whole family for some Mexican food to celebrate George's birthday.  Rilyn apparently LOVES Jason (Stacey's beau).  When Stacey was holding her she would reach out for Jason to hold her and same when Grandpa was holding her.  She was just loving on him and would put her little head down and suck her thumb and cuddle.  It was so cute!  Mr. Jason watch out you are quickly becoming one of Rilyn's favorite peeps!
I did threaten to start feeding her formula if she chose Jason over me and she did not...good thing!
And really I think she was just giving Stacey her approval on her choice because Rilyn's approval is more important...who cares what George thinks or the 3 brothers???

Trying to get to Jason

No matter who is there she loves her G-Lo

Fall Break

I am incredibly blessed to have a job in which I get tons of time off!  This last week I had the whole week off for our fall break and Rilyn and I took a little road trip to see Grandma and Papa.
I didn't take that many pictures which is weird for me, but I got sick and we did a lot of just hanging out which was really nice!

We had lots of fun at the pumpkin patch with the cousins

See the bow in Rilyn's hair?  It was my mom's when she was little...oh I am totally in love with it and my hoarding grandmother for actually keeping it!

Isaiah trying to sit on the pumpkin (which was obviously a little too small)

We had lots of fun playing at Grandma's daycare

MaKenna made Rilyn Mickey Mouse pancakes...she can also make caterpillars and lady bugs!

We had lots of fun even traveling
Eating breakfast halfway through in Casper

Yep, Rilyn got to eat at McDonalds...I'm a little disappointed but really it's Casper, Wy where else are we going to eat.  And she didn't get a happy meal...just oatmeal and mommy got a coffee!

And when we got home...I got to enjoy my new toys....not 1 but 2 new vacuums.  Hey, when you have a crawling/climbing/practically running baby and 3 dogs you have to be able to clean the floors! And stairs :)
