Today we celebrated Good Friday with some friends from our mom's group. Our organizer set up 3 stations at her house to teach the kids about 3 different events that took place Easter week and the characteristics of Jesus that we can learn from each of the events. It was perfect for Rilyn since we have been talking about these events the last few weeks! It was a great way to reinforce everything we've been learning.
First we read from John 12: 13 - 14 and marched around the yard with palm branches learning about Jesus being our KING.
Next, we went talked about how Jesus washed his friends feet even though it was a SERVANTS job. We read from John 13:4-5. I think for Rilyn this was the most meaningful and a concept we've been talking a lot about the last few weeks. I feel like she already has a servant's heart and want to continue to develop it. Although, I'm guessing her and Ryder won't be washing eachothers feet much as they get older...ha!
Finally we gathered for a picnic and read about communion in Luke 22:19-20. We had bread and juice and talked about how Jesus is our SAVIOR.
I didn't get any pictures of that since I was mostly trying to get Ryder not to spill his juice and Rilyn not eat all the bread on the plate!
Overall it was a super meaningful way to spend Good Friday with the kids. The mama that set it all up was super creative and did an amazing job.

Absolutely precious and so meaningful! I love how you value teaching them about Jesus especially when the world can make it so difficult to keep it about HIM! So beautiful. I love the picture of the feet washing-those kiddos are so cute.
