Halloween 2013

Rilyn has been looking forward to Halloween this year for like 2 months.  She didn't really care what costume she wore she was just concerned about pumpkin patches and trick-or-treating.  She did originally want to be a ballerina, but I found Ryder a cow costume cheap so I talked her into the cowgirl costume since we already had it and it had a twirly skirt just like a ballerina anyways.

We started the morning off with some cream cheese ghost

Rilyn wore her costume most of the day and we made some pumpkin pictures

And then we went to Tyler's work for some trick-or-treating through the cubicles and then off to Grandma and Grandpa Decker's for dinner and more trick-or-treating.

Ryder was kind of a stinker and fussed a lot because he thought he should just be able to eat the candy as we went.  Rilyn did the same last year.  When we got back to Grandma's house he grabbed fistfuls and was determined to get it open.

Rilyn going through her stash when we got home.

Rilyn loved trick-or-treating this year.  She wanted to go up to the houses by herself (Ms. Independent) and was very talkative to all the people.  As soon as we turned around to go back to Tyler she would yell, "daddy, they gave me lots of treats!"

It was a great Halloween with lots of good memories.  I'm sure Rilyn will be talking about this for awhile!

  1. OMG!!!!! First of all that picture where Ryder looks sad in his cow costume made me laugh out loud. Secondly, your kids are sooooo cute! Can Ryder please wear his cow costume when I see him next? Rilyn is such a little cutie patootie in her cowgirl outfit. Sounds like an awesome day!
