End of Summer

After our beach trip, our summer seemed to fly by and since we are (and have been) officially in fall for awhile now I figured I better get some of it documented.

We went on quite a few local hikes this summer.  We would get up early on Saturday mornings and hit a trail.  It was a nice way to jumpstart the weekend and wear the kids out!  Although, this hike was n't very good we did have fun taking pictures by some older buildings along the way.

We spent lots of time at splash parks, the Children's Museum, and our own backyard...

We also try to spend time at home.  I've realized I have to be pretty intentional about staying home.  If we go somewhere it typically means we are out of the house all day since we are a little ways out of town.  If I'm not careful we could be gone 7 days a week, which isn't good for any of us.  We need some down-time at home!

We usually start our mornings like this...

We love to lounge around and read books...

Play with all our fun toys...

Cook...

And hang with our doggies...

We spent time with friends including, swimming with Aunt Kristin and smores with Uncle Kendall....

Hung out with family...
Meeting the newest member of the Decker family Gideon

Birthday celebration with Grandma...

And canning with Grandma...

It was such a great summer, and it was sad to see it end.  I love fall as much as the next person, but I love being outside with the kids and all the opportunities summer has to offer as far as activities.  The kids are all at a great age and it made the summer one to remember!
