Thanksgiving 2014

We also had our 6th annual Friendsgiving this year.  It's always so much fun to get everyone together and enjoy good food and friendship!

Thanksgiving was super relaxing this year, which was so nice.  I enjoy slow paced holidays so much now that we have kids.  The kids and I got to snuggle in bed and watch most of the parade!

Ryder of course was more interested in hiding under the covers than watching the parade.

We tried to get some shots of the kids before we left for our dinner; however, Sawyer was very uncooperative and I couldn't get a single shot of him looking him up and not looking like he wants to commit murder.

Later in the day we went to Ryan and Carly's house.  They always host and do such an amazing job.  Carly loves fall and her house is always lovely when filled with fall decorations.

Yum...first Thanksgiving foods

Rilyns not happy with all her cousins and brothers at all...

This is what Ryder does when you tell him to squeeze into the picture...ha

Grumps or Poppy (don't know which one actually) trying to get some Turkey

For the month of November we all talked a lot about what we were thankful for and wrote down many of them on leaves that we hung on a board in our house.  We definitely filled the board and it was so fun to hear the things the kids were thankful for.  On Thanksgiving night, we all sat down and read all the things we wrote down for the month.  It was easily one of my most favorite activities I've done with the kids and it really set the tone for the upcoming Christmas season.

Rilyn was able to come up with many different ideas all on her own.  Her leaves said: cousins, dogs and dog food, leaves, Santa, Jesus, daddy making tents, mommy and daddy, God who is good, and Frozen.

Ryder came up with different ideas once I told him he couldn't say, "people, Santa, letters, and Jesus. Some other things on his leaves were: cousins, food, Hahas and Papas, Jane and Noah, water cups, mommy, daddy, Ryder, Sawyer, and Rilyn.

We also worked hard on our memory verse Psalm 107:1.
