Valetine's Day Fun

This year we celebrated Valentine's Day by getting up early and heading to the zoo.  We really love centering holidays around family time and not stuff so no presents for any of us this year just some quality time spent together.

I took some pictures of each kid before we headed out for the day, but didn't manage to get a picture of all three of them together...boo.

Rilyn just started posing for pictures...it must be a 4 year old thing..ha.

The weather was beautiful, and the animals were so much fun to watch.  Sawyer was super cranky before we left (5:00 AM wake up times do that to ya apparently) but was very content the whole time we were there.  The kids had some spending money from Grandma and Grandpa Pitsch in their Valentine's cards so they got to feed the giraffes and ride the carousel.

When we got home, the kids got to watch a little TV so Tyler and I could relax since they napped in the car.  Sawyer and I got some snuggle time in together of course.

I headed out to do some shopping with the baby and pick up our annual overload of take out Chinese food. We splurge and buy way more food than we would ever order and eat ourselves silly.  We've done it since our first Valentine's together and don't ever plan on changing our tradition.  It's low key and fun to remember some of our first Valentine's together.

It doesn't sound super romantic but it's perfect for Tyler and I.  Nothing is more romantic than watching the man you love be a daddy anyways!

Earlier in the week the kids were making patterns with some hearts and Rilyn decided they would make great crowns.  I couldn't have agreed more.
