Children's Museum, Sickness, and Snow

Unfortunately, we've had a stomach bug going around our house this week and Ryder and Sawyer have been the victims.

On Wednesday night, Ryder started throwing up at dinner and continued to do so for about 5 hours. Even though it hit him hard it was over fairly quickly and he spent the next day recovering.

A.K.A Play until you drop

Today Sawyer had very little appetite for solids foods and at lunch started throwing up.  He threw up twice and then napped on my chest for about an hour.  When he woke up he seemed to be recovering already.  He is eating a little solid food and nursing great.  You can tell his stomach still doesn't feel great, but my fingers are crossed he is done with the vomiting at least.

A warm bath seemed to do the trick after his nap.

Unfortunately for most of Denver, we were at the Children's Museum yesterday and I'm sure Sawyer was contagious (of course I didn't know at the time) so he probably left one or maybe 1,000 stomach bug germs around the place...OPPS.

The kids had a great time.  We hadn't been since Ryder was a baby because it's expensive and quite a long drive, but our mom's group was headed there and we wanted to join them.  Once we got there and paid to get in it just made sense to get a membership.  It will pay for itself with 3 kids and at least one parent going in two more trips.  We are excited to go back often.  And they are doing a really big expansion so there should be lots more cool exhibits at the end of this year.

Ryder building with nails and an egg carton.  This place had real tools so we spent very little time in this area.  I'm just not pumped about a 2 year old with a saw while I have a baby on my lap and can't really help him not cut off his finger.

Ryder's favorite are probably.  He loved running the computer and telephone at the vet office.

Ryder also loved rolling logs up a big tunnel.

We are getting a little snow this weekend and are super pumped about a snowing weekend at home. Although, it would have been a little more relaxing minus the throw-up.  So far, I think we have about 9 inches and I'm hoping we get about a foot and half but that might be wishful thinking.  I LOVE lots of snow :)

Tyler took the kids out for awhile this afternoon but they sure didn't last very long.  It is pretty cold out there so that's not surprising.

Happy Weekend!
